MP3 Skype Recorder v. 1.9.0 is released

New version of  MP3 Skype Recorder v.1.9.0 was released today. 
Bugs fixed:

  • Empty recordings - 0KB mp3 files on some systems.
  • One channel recording in rear cases.

New features:

  • 24 bits recording mode, extremely compact, but still enough for call recording.

Improvements:

  • Sample rate was changed from 44.1KHz to 16KHz, that doesn't reduce the quality of recording, as it still covers the hole Skype bandwidth. This significantly shrinks the size of mp3 files.

Q: I have encountered problems when I use the Skype recorder.
In our company, some PCs only have restricted internet access, in this case, have no access to your site, but can connect to Skype server, realized by using the WatchGuard firebox. These PCs when using Skype recorder, only get 0kb files. The other PCs which have no internet access limit, function well with Skype recorder. So my question is, in our case, the reason why we get 0kb files is probally because we have limited internet access?

I am happy to announce a new version of Skype Call Recorder  - MP3 Skype Recorder v.1.8.3 was released today.  The new version was renamed to MP3 Skype Recorder.
Bugs fixed:

  • sound distortion/clipping on some records.
  • no recording with Skype v.4, which appeared on a few systems.
  • unhandled  exception which appear on the systems with no Skype or  if Skype has no Extras Manager.
