I've downloaded version 4.3, and a few problems have arisen.

a. After the first time i downloaded the program, i closed it because i figured i didn't need it open. Now whenever i click the shortcut icon on the desktop, i get a notification saying that the program is launched, but the actual window where you would manage the directory or the bitrate or even the starting and stopping of the recording doesn't come up no matter what i do. The program is running, but it is almost completely unresponsive.

b. When i used a much earlier version of this program, it used Skype API, thus it was located in the directory. Apparently 4.2 didn't use API, so it wouldn't be there, so let's say my first problem wasn't a problem - how would i actually link the program with Skype to record calls?

I am having the same issues with the program showing as launched but not being able to see the actual window so I can't see if the recording is working.  Previously it has worked fine, it's only been in the last week that this problem's emerged.  I have completed all windows updates, uninstalled and reinstalled MP3 recorder twice but still having issues.

I'm running Windows 7 with Skype and MP3 Skype Recorder (latest versions of both). Skype recorder is working and saving an audio file but then I'm unable to play it back in Windows Media Player.

Originally, it was working but then I uninstalled and reinstalled in order to get the ability to manually start and stop recording (it wasn't giving me this initially). Now, this problem is fixed but I'm unable to play the audio files.

Any ideas what's wrong?

First time using the new version. It said it was connected to Skype. I hit On. Started the call. The little icon started and said it was recording but when I ended the call I can't find the recording. What the deuce?! An hour of my life wasted. What can i do???

Hello, I have been using your program for a while now but there is something bothering me.

I want to start a commentary channel with some people over skype but the problem is that every time we do so I noticed that the recorder not only pick-ups everyone in the call (which is good) but also the audio of anything I play on my computer whether it be videos or music from the internet or stored on my computer. Is there a way to get around that?

Ok, tired of waiting for an update to address my issues. I've gone back to version 3.1 and it works great. Since Skype backed down on their threat to remove the API there's no reason to update to version 4. I like the look and feel of version 4, but it just doesn't work properly. It always listens to (and records) the microphone, even when it's muted. That's no good for interviews where you don't want your background noise (or coughs) recorded, you just want to hear the other person on the recording. I also discovered today that it ignores Skype's audio settings. So, I was using a bluetooth headset, but it was recording the microphone on my webcam. Ridiculous. I see that since my previous error report (months ago), nothing's been addressed.

I give up. 3.1 for life (or until Skype actually does remove the API).
