Check that you have sufficient disk space on your drive. MP3 Skype Recorder is showing recording progress during conversation - total bytes written to mp3 file. You can always see if it is actually recording - bytes number should be increasing.

hi,
my windows firewall is preventing recording of mp3 skype firewall becdause I can not enter exceptions (ithe button is disabled).
My skype contacts hear the mp3 skype voice message that invites to leave messages, but I have no messages in the folder sections, which is empty.
I would appreciate easy technical instructions how to solve the problem, as I have no techical know how (:
Thanks;

If the firewall is blocking connection between Skype and Skype recorder no recording will be done. As you mentioned you need to add exception rule. Generally it is done in Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions tab. Please check that you (your windows user) have sufficient permissions to add exceptions. Try to login with user having administrator permissions.

I've got an odd problem using MP3 Skype recorder with version 6.6.0.106 of Skype on a Windows XP machine.

Whenever I try to record a conversation the recorder tells me that everything is fine, it creates the MP3 file in the folder I've designated and pops up the usual report window with a link to the file once the recording is finished. But whenever I try to access the file, I find it has a size of zero bytes and refuses to open with any application - there's effectively nothing there to open.

I've tried uninstalling asnd reinstalling MP3 Skype recorder, but keep getting the same results. Any idea what could be going wrong?

 Thanks for the link, but I don't actually have a firewall activated. I've even double checked the free version of Avast! Antivirus that I'm running on my machine, to make sure it isn't interfering with Skype or MP3 Skype Recorder.

Can you think of anything else that would be causing the problem?
