New version of MP3 Skype Recorder v.1.8.6 was released today.
Some changes were implemented in internal logic of recording process
No files produced in the folder still. What can I check please?
Check if status bar in the very bottom of MP3 Skype Recorder shows:
Connected to Skype; Recording: On

Any chance of a version that works under Win7? The latest doesn't seem to want to connect to Skype.
Mp3 Skype Recorder was not tested on Window 7 yet, but there is nothing preventing MP3 Skype Recorder to work properly on it. As soon as .NET Framework and Skype (including Skype Extras manager) will fully support Win 7, Skype recorder would too.
Hi! Great idea and technology from Skype. It's my very first time that i'm goin to use this recorder, the thing is, after our conversation was still 0kb (no recordings) found. Is there any problem on this new version that i downloaded please?
I have been using this program for a while now without problems. This new version, though, shows Skype ads after a call ends. Is there a way to remove this?
I have the latest version of the program and I too get 0 kb MP3 files. I had an old version that worked just fine, but when I upgraded today, I can't record my calls anymore. :\
You still can use old version
Unfortunately that's not an option anymore. I've clicked that link and I get a "page not found" error. The old version is not available.
I'll try the firewall bit, but that's not an optimal solution.
What ports do I have to open up to let the recorder work?
I'm on a Toshiba Laptop Satellite L305, Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3200, 2GHz, 3GB memory.
The bug causing 0kb records was fixed in the latest version 1.9.0
Um, no, the bug is not fixed. version 220.127.116.11 on windows 7 x64. Worked for a while.
If you have 0kb recordings it is most likely firewall blocking connection between Skype and Skype recording as it use internal ports to transfer audio stream. Check you firewall. The other problem could be simular recorder, because only one program at a time can get audio stream from Skype.

I am utilizing the version 18.104.22.168 and since you changed with the update 1.8.3 I noticed that when I try to update through the progarm popup's link, it doesn't work. So, I have to do it using the download from your website. I have a Windows Vista Home Premium OS.
Other that that, as I said, it's very good so far.
hi, great program except i still ket 0kb when record :(. im on xp. no problems with a firewall. any ideas?
Are you sure, that you are using the latest version 1.8.6? Check the version in the window title (I mean MP3 Skype Recorder window). If you downloaded the previous version recently, the browser could give you an old file from cache instead of downloading the new version from the site. In this case you will need to clear the cache of your browser and download again.
If you are using the latest version and having this problem, then contact me please by email ( mail(att)voipcallrecording.com ). I'll send you a special version with a debugger, to trace the problem.
I just downloaded your latest version from your webpage. This is the first time I have attempted to use your product, but it does create zero length files. Is there some other way we are supposed to download?
