I just installed the latest
I just installed the latest version (4.2) and I've noticed that it is not honoring the microphone mute setting. When I make a call to my voicemail (for instance) to transfer a voicemail to MP3, it is recording all of the background noise even though I have the mute (on Skype) turned on. Besides the background noise, this can cause an echo problem.

I have Skype Desktop v.
I have Skype Desktop v. 6.11.0.102 and Skype Recorder 4.2 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
The Installation of both works without failure... all is okay... but... the Skype Recorder can't find Skype.
The message in the last line say:

Please note... I start Skype individual via Batch-File with the command:

I need this, because I use my skype on different devices. All works fine since a few years but the Skype Recorder don't love it... I think. ;-)
Maybe you or someone have an idea. And... note... the old version of Recorder 3.1 worked... but the new version 4.x don't work and can't find the Skype instance. ;-)

Thank you for your message and providing details. The problem is this parameter in your command string /datapath:"F:\Skype\My Skype". Now I know how to fix this, this also will solve the problem with unofficial portable Skype version. Updated version of MP3 Skype recorder is coming soon.

I have used MP3 Skype
I have used MP3 Skype Recorder for a couple of years ago and have never run into any issues with it. I recorded an interview tonight, a fairly important one, and suddenly when I play back the audio, instead of an hour it is 20 minutes and it is missing a huge chunk of the interview.
How could this happen? And why would this happen? Is there anyway I could salvage the audio?

Sometimes the file has an echo. Often, 2 or 3 files are created from the same call, each with 0 bytes.
Almost every time, the recorder does not stop when the call is terminated.
